As a Sr. Account Executive, the incumbent is primarily responsible for the successful generation of sales for IT services from law firms and corporate legal departments. The incumbent will work independently to create new accounts and further relationships with existing clientele. The Sr. Account Executive will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting Jr. Account Executives through the sales cycle. Prospects include (but are not limited to) attorneys, general counsel, case managers, and paralegals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for actively forming and maintaining business relationships with contacts at major law firms and corporate in-house legal departments.
- Develop lists of prospects and setup appointments to host presentations (both in-person and via webinars) to educate prospects on company capabilities / service offerings.
- Follow up with leads via e-mail & phone conversations.
- Consult your clients on best practices, sharing your information and guiding them to select the correct services for their project requirements.
- Accountable for responding to client requests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for mentoring and supporting Jr. Account Executives through the sales cycle.
- Engage in industry networking events to further develop business relationships.
- Keep up to date with latest industry news and relevant advances in application and technology and share this news with peers/supervisors.
- Attend weekly Sales department meetings & webinars to learn about new service offerings, client information, important court rulings, and happenings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Technical Focus (Business IT, Management Science, CS, etc)
- Formal legal education a big plus
- 2-4 years proven success in legal e-discovery sales
- 4+ years proven success in technical sales
- Formal sales training preferred
- Experience with SalesForce
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay on task at all times
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Possess excellent listening, writing, verbal skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to place heavy commitment to putting clients’ business goals ahead of their own
